Aloha! 🌊🌺 I’m Chloe, a software engineer with 4 years of experience. Raised in Hawaiʻi with a passion for problem-solving. Driven by curiosity, creativity, and kuleana. ​ ​ I am raised in Hawai‘i from a young age, with a love for problem-solving, a passion for learning, and a strong sense of kuleana, responsibility to others and my community. These values guide both my life and my work as a software engineer with 4 years of experience. ​​​​​ ​ I’m a software engineer with experience building and supporting production systems, with a strong focus on backend development, database-driven applications, and system reliability. In my current role, I develop and maintain production database systems and backend data workflows that support 26 city departments and over one million users. My work includes SQL Server migrations across legacy and modern environments, production troubleshooting, automation of database processes, and secure access management across large-scale systems. ​​ ​ Previously, I was part of Capgemini’s Next Gen Talent (NGT) Program, a leadership development program for high-potential engineers, where I progressed from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer. In this role, I developed and implemented customer-facing contact center and CRM solutions for a leading global investment bank using Salesforce and Genesys Cloud CX, and developed a full user interface for a Department of Defense client based on technical and user requirements. ​​​ ​ I hold a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Political Science, graduating cum laude from Hawai‘i Pacific University, where I served as Student Body President during my senior year. My passion for software engineering began in high school, where I built an app prototype that earned me a four-year Biz4Good full-ride scholarship. Before graduating, I also had the privilege of serving as Student Body President at my high school. ​ ​ Outside of software, I’m interested in the intersection of public policy and technology, particularly algorithmic decision-making in government and the ethical implications of data and AI in public life. I’m also interested in Asian American identity and representation.
